Bronze for our Code Warrior at WorldSkills Americas

Bronze for our Code Warrior at WorldSkills Americas.

Suriname participated in 2 categories, welding and webdesign, represented respectively by Marciano Pinas and our very own Simon Noerdjan, one of the brilliant Spang Makkers.

Marciano and Simon did a splendid job while competing and have both excelled in their categories. They made Suriname proud and are bringing home 2 bronze medals.

WorldSkills Americas 2010 brought 28 countries across Americas together to compete in 20 professional categories.
Worldskills Americas is the greatest professional event of the American Continent and complies with rigorous international standards set by the WorldSkills Competition, an entity that promotes the world’s largest tournament in this area. It promotes vocational education and training and provides a unique means  of exchange and comparison of world-class competency standards.

As they received their medals, they set a footprint for Suriname which the continent will remember forever.
While doing this they and the other supporters of Suriname waved our Surinamese flag with pride stating that we are a country to be reckoned with.
