Cinema is about to have a boost

It can happen anytime now: the grand opening of The Back Lot Cinemas aka TBL Cinemas.

TBL has the intention to bring back the real meaning of cinema-pleasure in Suriname, with at least 5 lounges. This multi-functional building will also serve as conference and congress hall. Renowned clothing companies will be located on ground floor.

Last week the Spang Makkers, who worked expeditiously on the website, got a foretaste and we can surely say, it promises to become a success.

We were guided to the biggest movie lounge and plunged down on one of red-hot recliners. After a brief welcome of Eddy Wijngaarde, CEO of TBL Cinemas, we saw some commercials and movie
tracks. The screen and sound are the best of the best. We even enjoyed a 3D trailer.

Oh what an experience it will be, at the launch of the next world premiere. Standing in a long line with a huge container of popcorn in one hand and a hotdog in the other.
